 Consulting |
"With [TC]²'s support we have increased productivity per person by 50% and reduced the time to produce a garment from five days to less than one day. We have also eliminated 100% final inspection while sustaining 0% defects found during the final audit process. The impact on the sewing team members has also been dramatic as we have experienced 0% turnover in the affected areas and most impressive of all, the team members are taking on much of the daily decision making traditionally conducted by a supervisor."
"I have had many different experiences with [TC]², first as a trainee in their state-of-the-art factory and teaching facility, and then as one of [TC]²'s clients. During my multiple experiences with this one-of-a-kind company, I have learned a new definition for quality standards and that is "[TC]² quality". They put dedication into every project. The trainers have a lot of field experience, and have worked in many different areas of the industry. Their teaching methods are simple and easy to understand. They can make difficult things look simple."
"[TC]² helped us experience a business turnaround by coaching us in everything from management strategies to sewing floor operations. We could never have done it without their guidance."
"I don't need consultants to look at my watch and tell me what time it is. I need consultants who are smarter than me, have real industry experience and can teach practical and useable techniques that can be employed immediately on the factory floor. I am glad I hired Dr. Mike Fralix and Will Duncan from [TC]². I am very impressed with their experience, teaching methods and their ability to work in cross cultural environments."

Educational Seminars
|
"This seminar (Intro to Apparel Manufacturing, November 2003) was by far one of the better seminars I have attended. Your team is so knowledgeable, informative, and helpful. I especially like the way the seminar was organized between class-time and hands-on activities. The overall intro was just what I needed."
“The best part of attending the Grading for Fit program was getting the manufacturer’s perspective of grading. As a tech designer, I needed to open up to my manufacturing partners.”

Technology Development
|
A "thrill of a life-time" was realized for many of us at Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s Institute of Textiles and Clothing last week (August 30, 2007) with the installation of [TC]²’s NX-16 3D Body Scanner. Dr. Bruner, Mr. Allen and Mr. Elton were very thorough with the training and helpful to each one of us. We look forward to using the scanner for various sizing research projects.
I wanted to tell you how much we appreciated everything you have done for us. Now having been through the training I can see how much thought and care went into the design of the scanner to make it truly portable. It is a very well designed tool, and we really appreciate it.
The [TC]² staff were superb trainers. They efficiently overcame several difficulties from the airline not getting their bags (and tools) to Ithaca to flood conditions on the roads. They were very efficient and knowledgeable and worked extremely hard with us for three very full days. They cheerfully trained several groups of us to various levels as we requested, and always seemed to know when to jump in with suggestions or assistance and when to back off and let us struggle through on our own. They also had an uncanny ability to adjust their instruction to the various levels of understanding each of us had - there was quite a range, but this did not faze either of them. They were also very direct and honest with us about the issues we will face (inevitable with complex hardware and software), and how they could be resolved - I really appreciated the fact that they never tried to minimize or ignore possible issues. I have participated in many training sessions, and this one was by far the best I have ever experienced - pleasant, informative, and very effective.
I wish to thank you and your team for the efficient body scanner installation and training. We were very pleased with the way the delivery was coordinated. It was completely hassle free. The installation team arrived on time and set out to complete their work in an impressive and timely fashion. They proceeded to provide in-depth training and responded very well and pleasantly to all our questions. They stayed until we were satisfied with the way the system was operating and they even gave further demonstrations where needed. They were very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. We can therefore say that the installation and training were a complete success!!. We look forward to working with your company in the future.
"Without the 3D body scanning technology developed by
[TC]², we could not have proceeded with the UK National Sizing
Survey."
“[TC]² engineers, programmers, and project management staff are superb in the role of supporting requests for proprietary developments as well as being known for market-leading 3D body scanning equipment and associated software. One of our first experiences with [TC]² as a contract technology developer was the creation of an on-line custom shirt ordering solution that directly linked our stores with the factory to allow real time order transmission and inventory monitoring. Later, working with [TC]² on made-to-measure clothing using 3D body scanning was one of those rare customer/contractor experiences where everyone went all out to accomplish the required goals on a tough timeline. We (Brooks Brothers) had spent a considerable time evaluating the leading 3D body scanning systems offerings and concluded that the [TC]² solution was not only the most accurate solution but also delivered the safe and private scan process that we wanted for our customers. Not only that, but [TC]² was flexible and willing to customize the total body scanner implementation so that it became the unique “Brooks Brothers Digital Tailor” that we were looking for.”
QinetiQ is delighted with the purchase of their [TC]² portable 3D whole body light scanner and the data extraction software. QinetiQ has considerable experience in conducting anthropometry and population sizing studies for both commercial and military customers. The fast, accurate data provided by the scanner has recently been used to support a project for a computerised pattern block sizing system for military aircrew protective clothing. “Thank you for taking the necessary time to work with us on training, installing the software on our laptops, and for being so patient. We already have been using the scanner and the students think it is amazing. This piece of equipment certainly has allowed our apparel studies program to be on the cutting edge of both teaching and research efforts.”

SizeUSA
|
“SizeUSA is gold. It appears to be the only current, general population data available. Ordering data from [TC]² sure beats slogging through old NASA and WWII anthropomorphic studies. I look forward to tapping [TC]² for data for future projects (mechanical and anatomic aspects of wearable electronics).”
“One of the most intriguing things about the SizeUSA data is it will give manufacturers an opportunity to pull measurements out by age, gender, and ethnic background. One of the things we could do with the study is access data that allows us to establish a Hispanic size grid, for example, so we can better serve niche markets.”

"The Penville Plant is an incredible teaching aid. It is simple and elegant in both form and function. We used it where English is a second language and we had no trouble communicating the benefits of Lean Manufacturing, the importance of developing direct labor teams and the value of cross training."

25th Anniversary Congratulations
|
“My experiences at [TC]² have been one of the highlights of my professional career and I would like to have been there to honor that. I still use resources and information that I learned during my Faculty Fellowship. I felt very privileged to be in the first group of Faculty Fellows and I still feel honored to be a part of that group. I am a better teacher today because of my [TC]² experiences. Perhaps the best part of my association with [TC]² has been the friendships and professional relationships that have evolved over the years. The people are what have made [TC]² great! [TC]² is a very valuable resource to the apparel industry and the academic community and each and everyone should be proud of the contributions they have made.
Congratulations on 25 years of great accomplishments and best wishes for another 25 years of advancing the industry.”
“My experience as a faculty fellow in 1991 was a highlight of my professional career. It has certainly changed the way I teach and what I read to stay current. Thank you for your vision and your example. Congratulations on a job well done.”
“Congratulations on achieving 25 years of service to the apparel/sewn products industry. [TC]² has been an outstanding innovator and change agent in moving the industry forward. Keep up the good work.”
“It is hard to believe that 11 years have gone by since I spent the summer in Cary. It was a great summer and a wonderful program to be a part of. It is the reason I made my way to Tennessee. One of the contributing companies, Horace Small Apparel, received my resume and moved me from Texas to TN. I am now a stay at home Mom of three boys, and I work from home as a designer for custom window treatments.”
“Please extend our congratulations and best wishes to [TC]² on their 25th anniversary. The textile industry has certainly benefited from the many programs hosted by your organization, and we have enjoyed our partnerships with you.”
“Congratulations on 25 years. Many companies don't have the vision nor determination in any industry to survive and more importantly, succeed like you have. Congratulations again, and looking forward to another 25.”
“I would have liked to be able to attend your Open House and Reception celebrating your 25th Anniversary. I just landed in Sweden after a round the world trip that ended with 10 days in China and have other commitments in Sweden this week before I am back in the U.S. next week. So therefore, let me express my congratulations this way to you and the [TC]² organization on this day.
Eton and [TC]² have many things in common. [TC]²'s mission to provide technology solutions and improvements that have a positive impact on the supply chain go hand in hand with the benefits Eton offers. We believe that our technology fits with the [TC]² mission and are proud to be associated with [TC]² and that you daily use the Eton technology within your manufacturing arm. I am convinced we can take this even further with the continued benefits that we add to our systems.
As discussed, I look forward to finding the time to explore further opportunities of cooperating with you as I am convinced that our "Excelled Lean concept" brings more merits today than ever before.
We are pleased to be one of the sponsors of your 25th Anniversary Open House and Reception.”
You are to be congratulated on the many successes [TC]² has realized over the past twenty-five years and on the valuable contributions made to the industry.
Best wishes for another twenty-five years!
Your operation has been a great help to our industry. Thank you for the assistance that we have had from you along the way.
Please extend my warm and cordial good wishes to all of my friends and assure them of my abiding interest and commitment to the good and growth of our organization under its splendid leadership.
